The Big Bash League (BBL), known as the KFC Big Bash League for sponsorship, is Australia's premier men's professional Twenty20 cricket league, established in 2011 by Cricket Australia. Featuring eight city-based franchises, it replaced the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, sponsored by fast food outlet KFC. Notably, BBL matches take place during the Australian summer months. The Brisbane Heat emerged as champions in BBL 13 (2023/2024), defeating the Sydney Sixers in the final. The league's success is evident, with six out of eight teams securing the title at least once. The Perth Scorchers lead with five titles, while the Sydney Sixers have three. Other winners include the Brisbane Heat (two titles), and the Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Renegades, and Sydney Thunder
