Greg Davies is a Welsh comedian, actor, and presenter born on 14 May 1968 in St Asaph, Wales. Before entering comedy full-time, he worked as a secondary school drama teacher for 13 years, an experience that later inspired much of his stand-up material. He is best known for playing the intimidating yet hilarious head of sixth form, Mr. Gilbert, in the British sitcom The Inbetweeners, and for hosting the hit comedy panel show Taskmaster, where his towering 6'8" presence and deadpan authority have become central to the show’s appeal. Davies has also created and starred in his own sitcom, Man Down, showcasing his talent for blending absurd humor with semi-autobiographical storytelling.
