Ons Jabeur, born on August 28, 1994, is a Tunisian tennis player who reached a career-high WTA ranking of world No. 2 in 2022, making her the highest-ranked African and Arab player in history. She has won five singles titles on the WTA Tour and was runner-up at Wimbledon in 2022 and 2023, as well as the US Open in 2022. Jabeur’s journey began at age three, inspired by her mother, and after turning professional, she made history as the first African and Arab woman to reach a major singles final and win a junior Grand Slam at the 2011 French Open. She earned the Arab Woman of the Year award in 2019 and, in 2022, claimed her biggest title at the Madrid Open, elevating her to a prominent figure in African sports.

Jabeur has also represented Tunisia in the Fed Cup, debuting in 2011 and playing 29 ties, achieving a strong record of 32–11.
