About

Founded in 1864 in Carlton, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, the Carlton Football Club was one of the first AFL clubs to be formed. Carlton hit the ground running as they rose to become one of the AFL's powerhouse clubs, completing three consecutive wins between 1906 - 1908.
The Blues have had a successful history, with 16 premierships to their name. They are currently tied with Essendon and Collingwood for the most premierships won by one team – so 2026 will be an exciting year for the mighty Blues as Carlton are well placed to be in contention to add a 17th Premiership Cup to their name.
 
Carlton last tasted premiership success in 1995 in what was one of the most dominant AFL seasons in history. Since Ron Barassi came over in the 1970's, the Blues saw a golden era of six Premierships over 25 years.
