WAXAHATCHEE TICKETS AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2024

All You Need To Know About Waxahatchee

Waxahatchee is an indie music project formed in 2010 by singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield after her previous band, P.S. Eliot, disbanded. Named after Waxahatchee Creek in Alabama, where Crutchfield grew up, the project began as an acoustic solo endeavor and has since evolved to include a full band. Waxahatchee has released six studio albums: *American Weekend* (2012), *Cerulean Salt* (2013), *Ivy Tripp* (2015), *Out in the Storm* (2017), *Saint Cloud* (2020), and *Tigers Blood* (2024). Crutchfield also formed the alternative country duo Plains with Jess Williamson.

The project's debut album, *American Weekend*, was recorded in 2011 and released in 2012, receiving praise for its introspective lyrics. The second album, *Cerulean Salt* (2013), gained critical acclaim and reached #1 on the Official Record Store Chart. Waxahatchee's third album, *Ivy Tripp* (2015), marked a shift to Merge Records and was followed by extensive touring. The fourth album, *Out in the Storm* (2017), featured a more polished sound, co-produced by John Agnello. *Saint Cloud* (2020) continued to build Waxahatchee's reputation, earning top spots on multiple Billboard charts and winning the 2021 Libera Award for Best Country Record.

In addition to Waxahatchee, Crutchfield released a collaborative album as part of Plains in 2022 and made a guest appearance on *A Philly Special Christmas Special* in 2023. She announced the sixth Waxahatchee album, *Tigers Blood*, for release in March 2024, supported by a tour in 2,500-capacity theaters.
