10cc is a British rock band formed in Stockport in 1972, originally featuring Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme. The group had two main songwriting teams: Stewart and Gouldman, known for pop hits, and Godley and Creme, who were more experimental and influenced by art and cinema.
Each member was a multi-instrumentalist, singer, writer, and producer. The band recorded most of their work at their own Strawberry Studios. From 1972 to 1978, 10cc achieved five consecutive UK top-ten albums and had twelve singles reach the UK Top 40, including three number ones: "Rubber Bullets," "I'm Not in Love," and "Dreadlock Holiday."
Godley and Creme left in 1976 to pursue a duo career, and Stewart departed in 1995. Since 1999, Gouldman has led a touring version of 10cc.
