All You Need To Know About The Script

Established in 2001 in Dublin, The Script originated with Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, and Glen Power. After signing with Phonogenic under the Sony Label Group, their debut album, released in August 2008, soared with chart-toppers like "We Cry," "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," "Breakeven," and "Before the Worst," securing the top spot in Ireland and the UK.

Their subsequent albums—Science & Faith (2010), #3 (2012), and No Sound Without Silence (2014)—continued their chart-topping streak in Ireland and the UK. Notably, Science & Faith claimed high positions in Australia and the US, featuring hits like "For the First Time," "Nothing," "Hall of Fame," and "Superheroes." "Freedom Child," their fifth album released in 2017, showcased the UK Top 20 single "Rain," while "Sunsets & Full Moons," their sixth album in 2019, included the single "The Last Time." Additionally, a Greatest Hits album was launched in October 2021.

Their music has graced numerous TV shows, and O'Donoghue coached on The Voice UK. The band's achievements include three Meteor Ireland Music Awards, two World Music Awards, two Brit Award nominations, and over 20 million album sales worldwide. Tragically, co-founder Mark Sheehan passed away on April 14, 2023.
