All You Need To Know About Salute

Felix Angyumanu Nyajo, known professionally as Salute, is an Austrian producer residing in England. They first gained attention for their remixes of Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" and Sam Smith's "Money on My Mind." Salute has released several EPs, including Gold Rush and Condition I-III, as well as the mini-album My Heart. Their debut album, True Magic, came out in July 2024 and reached No. 5 on the UK Dance Albums Chart.

Born in Aspern to Nigerian parents who escaped the Yugoslav Wars, Nyajo encountered racism and violence in their youth. They started making music on their parents' computer using a pirated version of FL Studio. Initially performing as "sxlute" on SoundCloud, their remix of "Rock the Boat" attracted media interest, opening doors for DJing and production.

In 2014, Nyajo moved to Brighton for university to avoid racism, later settling in Manchester. After the death of their grandparents, they created a series of EPs that conveyed personal memories and emotions. Their later projects, including the EP Shield, featured their vocals and achieved chart success in the UK.

In 2023, Nyajo was nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Act at the MOBO Awards. Their concept album, True Magic, which explores racing Japanese cars, showcases collaborations with various artists and reflects their evolving musical style.
