Kerser, born Scott Froml on 21 August 1987 in Campbelltown, New South Wales, is a prominent Australian hip-hop artist known for his raw lyricism and DIY rise to success. Starting to rap with his older brother at a young age, he entered the battle-rap scene in his early twenties, gaining major attention from viral battles and grassroots promotion on YouTube. Since his debut mixtapes in 2009 and first album The Nebulizer in 2011, Kerser has released multiple top-charting albums, including No Rest for the Sickest and S.C.O.T., and achieved his first ARIA #1 album with A Gift & a Kers in 2023, solidifying his influence in Australian rap. Known for building a dedicated fanbase without early mainstream media support, he helped shape the independent street rap movement in Australia.
