About Bruno Mars

Few modern pop artists move between styles as comfortably as Bruno Mars. Pop hooks, R&B vocals, funk grooves and soul influences all run through his music, while his ability as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has shaped a career that goes well beyond one particular sound.

Mars first broke through as a solo artist with songs including Just the Way You Are and Grenade before moving further into funk and R&B across later releases. His catalogue has continued to evolve through the 24K Magic era and his work alongside Anderson .Paak as Silk Sonic, pairing contemporary pop with sounds drawn from earlier generations of funk, soul and R&B.

Bruno Mars popular songs

1. Just the Way You Are – The song that helped propel Mars into global pop stardom, Just the Way You Are puts his vocals front and centre against a simple, instantly recognisable melody.

2. Uptown Funk – Mars' collaboration with Mark Ronson is pure funk-pop energy. Its punchy brass, call-and-response vocals and infectious rhythm made it a defining hit of the 2010s.

3. That's What I Like – Smooth R&B meets playful pop on That's What I Like, a track that captures the slicker side of Mars' sound and the swagger of his 24K Magic era.

What to expect from a Bruno Mars concert

Bruno Mars doesn't spend much time standing still on stage. His live performances combine tightly coordinated choreography with vocals and live instrumentation, often making the musicians around him part of the action rather than simply keeping the band in the background.

That versatility gives a Bruno Mars concert room to change gears. Funk and pop numbers bring the movement and spectacle, while slower songs give his vocals more space to take over. The result is a show built as much around musicianship as it is around polished stadium-scale entertainment.

Australian audiences will get another chance to experience it when The Romantic Tour reaches Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in 2027.
