AL JARDINE WITH THE PET SOUNDS BAND AUSTRALIAN TOUR TICKETS 2026
All You Need To Know About AL Jardine
Al Jardine is an American musician and a founding member of the legendary band The Beach Boys. Born on September 3, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, he later moved to Hawthorne, California, where he teamed up with Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, Mike Love, and David Marks to form the group in 1961. The Beach Boys quickly rose to fame, defining the sound of California surf rock. Jardine played rhythm guitar and occasionally took the lead on vocals—most notably on hits like “Help Me, Rhonda” and “Cottonfields.” He also contributed as a songwriter, co-writing songs like “California Saga/California” from the Holland album.
After Carl Wilson passed away in 1998, Jardine stepped away from the band's touring activities but later rejoined for their 50th anniversary tour in 2012. He also pursued a solo career, releasing A Postcard from California in 2010, which featured contributions from former bandmates and notable artists. In 2025, he released a follow-up EP titled Islands in the Sun. Beyond music, Jardine has been a dedicated practitioner and certified teacher of Transcendental Meditation, a discipline he adopted in the late 1960s to bring balance and focus to his life.
