The NRL Grand Final is fast approaching and will take place on Sunday the 4th of October in 2026 at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

With the AFL Grand Final headliner announced (they’ve got aussie queen Kylie Minogue) we have some high hopes for who the NRL Grand Final musical guest will be and yes we have some predictions.

Below is a list of our top contenders for who we think (realistically it’s who we want) will be headlining the NRL Grand Final in 2026.

1. Justin Bieber

Far Fetching? Yes. Unrealistic? We don’t think so. After headlining Coachella this year, Justin Bieber is hotter than ever and we think the singer would love to perform at one of Australia' s greatest sporting events of the year.

2. Delta Goodrem

Now this one makes a little more sense and aligns with the AFL’s choice of Kylie Minogue. We think another aussie icon could be gracing the stage at the NRL Grand Final and who compares to Kylie Minogue? None other than Delta Goodrem.

3. Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift headlines the NRL Grand Final? It has a nice ring to it doesn’t it. While we think we may be waiting a few more years for this to be possible, with the ever growing popularity of the NRL you never know!

4. The Kid Laroi

Who could be better than Justin Bieber at the NRL Grand Final? Justin Bieber's Aussie mini me. If we had to predict who would be headlining the NRL Grand Final this year this would be our number one pick. Imagine hearing ‘STAY’ live whilst you’re cheering on your favorite team at the biggest NRL game of the year. He was also the headliner in 2024, so he already understands the gig!

5. Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars would be another favourite of ours to be announced as the NRL Grand Final musical act. The singer last toured Australia in 2022, so we believe he is due for a tour soon anyway. Why not make it as a headliner for a massive sporting event?

6. The Weeknd

The Weeknd has announced an Asia tour for September in 2026. Since the NRL Grand Final takes place in October this seems super likely that the singer will fly over from Asia to Australia to perform at the final. We have also predicted he might be announcing an Australian tour now anyway (You can check out our Tour Predictions here).

The  NRL Grand Final headliner doesn’t usually get announced until around 4 weeks out of the Grand Final, so we can expect to find out sometime in September. This leaves us with plenty of time for speculation.
