Electric Avenue is turning up the volume for 2027, with a huge two-day line-up set to bring some of the biggest names in pop, rock, electronic, R&B and dance music to Christchurch.

Taking over Hagley Park on Friday 26 February and Saturday 27 February 2027, the festival has revealed an impressive bill headlined by global superstars Calvin Harris and Kings of Leon.

Joining the two headline acts will be an eclectic mix of international favourites and local talent, including Bebe Rexha, Kehlani, Tove Lo, Jungle, Underworld, Kasabian, Major Lazer, Lime Cordiale, Gorgon City, Wilkinson and many more.

With two full days of music across multiple stages, Electric Avenue 2027 is shaping up to be one of the biggest festival weekends on the New Zealand summer calendar.

 

 

Calvin Harris Headlines the Electronic Charge

Few names in modern dance music carry the same weight as Calvin Harris, and the Scottish superstar will make his return to New Zealand for an exclusive Electric Avenue performance.

Known for a string of global hits and collaborations with some of the biggest artists in the world, Harris has become one of the defining figures in contemporary electronic music.

His Electric Avenue appearance will be particularly significant for New Zealand fans, marking his first performance in the country since 2019.

Joining him on the electronic side of the bill are festival favourites including Major Lazer, Gorgon City, Wilkinson, Underworld, Kenny Dope, Darius Syrossian, K Motionz and more.

From house and techno to drum and bass and classic electronic sounds, the festival's dance offering spans generations of club music.

Kings of Leon Return to Christchurch

On the other side of the musical spectrum, American rock favourites Kings of Leon will headline the festival's rock offering.

The band, behind an extensive catalogue of anthemic hits, will return to Christchurch for the first time in 19 years.

Their appearance comes as the band prepares to release new music, giving fans the opportunity to see one of rock's most recognisable groups live in Hagley Park.

They will be joined by Kasabian, Jungle, Lime Cordiale and a strong collection of New Zealand artists, creating a diverse rock and alternative offering across the weekend.

Pop and R&B Stars Join the Bill

Electric Avenue 2027 isn't stopping at rock and electronic music.

Bebe Rexha, Kehlani and Tove Lo will bring some serious pop and R&B energy to the festival, adding another dimension to an already diverse line-up.

Kehlani and Tove Lo will both make exclusive New Zealand festival appearances, giving fans a rare opportunity to catch the international stars on home soil.

Jungle will also bring their distinctive blend of soul, funk, electronic and alternative sounds to the festival, with their Electric Avenue performance set to be their only New Zealand appearance.

A Strong New Zealand Line-Up

As always, Electric Avenue will put plenty of homegrown talent alongside its international acts.

Friday's local line-up includes Fat Freddy's Drop, Th' Dudes, Daily J, Savage, Frank Booker, Louis Baker and more.

Saturday will feature Home Brew, SACHI, Ladyhawke, Coterie and a host of other New Zealand artists.

The result is a bill that moves effortlessly between generations and genres, from legendary Kiwi acts and emerging local artists to international chart-toppers and electronic pioneers.
